I worked a little oil painting in yesterday. I work on multiple (3-10)
paintings at one time. Mostly to allow the layers of oil paint to dry
and partly so I dont get bored with any one piece. I used to have a big
problem leaving pieces unfinished because I would move on to the next
idea. I was called on it by a professor who spotted the pattern my
junior year at RISD. He forced me to break this terrible habit, so now I
need to finish pieces even if it takes years. This particular piece has
been in the works for a couple years. the pic below shows the original
drawing framed above the mantel.
